D. CrabtreeDerrick Crabtree: Principal

Mr. Crabtree is a proud graduate of William Blount High School, with deep ties to the school community where he grew up, as both his parents worked at WBHS during his childhood. He earned his bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Tennessee Tech University, followed by a master’s and specialist degree in Instructional Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. Mr. Crabtree taught at Heritage Middle School, where he served as a teacher leader and was recognized as Teacher of the Year, and later held roles as Assistant Principal and Principal at Carpenters Elementary. He is committed to fostering a positive school culture that supports student success and staff development at WBHS.







Michelle Harris

Mrs. Harris earned a B.A. in Biology from Maryville College in 1993 and began her teaching career in Charlotte, North Carolina. A Blount County Schools graduate, she returned to Maryville in 2002 teaching biology and chemistry at WIlliam Blount. Mrs. Harris earned a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership in 2022 and now serves as an assistant principal at William Blount High School.

Lisa Collins

Ms. Collins earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee in 1991. She earned her Master of Science in Business Education in 1997 from the University of Tennessee .  She began teaching in 1997 at Lenoir City High School and then moved to Heritage High in 1998.  She completed an Ed.S. in School Counseling from the University of Tennessee in 1999 and completed an Administration add on in 2011 and now serves as Assistant Principal at the William Blount Career and Technical building.

Missy Myers

Mrs. Myers earned a B.A. in English and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee. She also completed an Ed.S. in Administration and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University.  In 1993, Mrs. Myers began her teaching career at WBHS, her alma mater. During her thirty years as an English teacher, Mrs. Myers served as a cheerleading sponsor, yearbook adviser, debate club sponsor, Roane State Academic Festival sponsor, National English Honor Society adviser, English department chair, and Student Dean. She now serves as assistant principal with a focus on tenth grade students.

Shawn Wichert

Mr. Wichert is a proud graduate of The University of Tennessee, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science degree. He furthered his education by completing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Principal Leadership at Arkansas State University. As a product of Blount County Schools, Mr. Wichert attended Montvale Elementary School, Carpenters Middle School, and Heritage High School. His career with BCS began as a counselor in the FRIENDS program at Carpenters Elementary. He transitioned into teaching during his internship at WBHS in 2013, spent one year teaching in Kingston, and then joined Heritage High School as an English teacher and coach. In 2021, Mr. Wichert returned to WBHS as a teacher and currently serves as an assistant principal. Mr. Wichert is married to Jane Wichert, and they have a daughter, Lucy Kate, as well as a Goldendoodle named Murphy.

Randall Davis

Mr. Davis is a proud graduate of William Blount High School, Class of 2010. A lifelong Blount County native, he attended Mary Blount Elementary and William Blount Middle School. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, both from Western Governors University. He also earned an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.

Mr. Davis began his career in education as a non-faculty coach, later serving as an instructional assistant and in-school suspension teacher. He spent 1.5 years teaching at William Blount High School before joining Eagleton College and Career Academy, where he taught for four years. In 2025, Mr. Davis returned to WBHS as an assistant principal.

He is married to his wife of 12 years, Alex, and together they have a son, Finley, and are excited to welcome their second son, Oliver, in October 2025.
