Students had an awesome opportunity to participate in the Great Smoky Mountains Plein Air Painting Event at Tremont. They were paired with local professional artists who guided them in creating landscape paintings in oil. The students created beautiful, unique artworks while enjoying nature!
Afternoon Pickup
We want to share an important reminder regarding afternoon student pickup. We have recently had an increasing number of students being picked up at Laurel Bank Baptist Church. Parents and guardians should not use Laurel Bank Baptist Church as a student pickup location.
All afternoon pickups should take place on the William Blount High School campus using our designated pickup areas. This helps us maintain a safe and orderly dismissal process for our students, families, and surrounding community.
If you arrive before 3:30 PM:
Please enter campus and park in the Senior Parking Lot, where your student may meet you for pickup.
For car rider pickup:
Please enter through the CTE entrance and join the designated car rider line that wraps around the building. Follow the established traffic pattern and directions from staff.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in keeping student pickup on the WBHS campus and helping us maintain a safe and efficient dismissal process.

Reminder - the Homecoming Carnival will take place this Friday, October 2, from 2:00–3:30 PM !
Our Homecoming candidates will have an array of games, snacks, drinks, spirit gear, and prizes available for everyone to enjoy!
Be sure to bring some money and come support our Football Homecoming Candidates!

Our Annual Community Trunk or Treat, hosted by the William Blount Lady Govs Lacrosse Team, will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, from 6:00–7:30 p.m. at William Blount High School. This free, family-friendly event brings our school and community together for a safe and fun Halloween celebration featuring trick-or-treating from decorated trunks, music and dancing, face painting, and free popcorn and hot dogs for kids. This year, we’re also giving back by collecting new coloring books, crayons, markers, and arts & crafts supplies for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.
Reminder: In-school Volleyball game is Thursday! Tickets for sale during lunch today and tomorrow only!! $5 cash.

Thursday is our In School Volleyball Match against Heritage! Students can purchase tickets for $5 during lunch from Monday through Wednesday. No tickets will be sold Thursday! Students must have a ticket AND be in good standing with their 5th period class to be dismissed to the game.
